Queensland Probate Costs (2026-2027)
The current financial year 2026-2027 probate and letters of administration court charges have been announced by the Supreme Court of Queensland. These fees will remain valid for the period July 1 2026 – 30 June 2027.
Queensland Probate Cost 1: The Notice of Intention
The cost to place the Notice of Intention remains unchanged, at $161.70.
The notice is placed in the online legal journal the Queensland Law Reporter, which is published every Friday. We will prepare the Notice of Intention and place the booking for it to run, and pay that $161.70 advertising cost on your behalf.
Queensland Probate Cost 2: The Supreme Court Probate Filing Fee
The filing fee is the court fee that is charged by the Supreme Court of Queensland to process the application for probate of letters of administration.
The Qld probate filing fee for 2026-2027 is $847.60
That filing fee is discounted to $154.70 if the applicant holds a commonwealth issued seniors or healthcare card.
Queensland Probate Cost 3:The Fee charged by the company who prepare are lodge your documents
Solicitors and Law Firms will generally charge you anywhere between $3,000 and $15,000 to prepare the paperwork for your application. The majority of them also base their fees on the value of the assets held by the deceased. Our fee for obtaining your grant of probate or letters of administration is $1100, regardless of the value of the estate.
Our $1100 fee for service is also fixed, there are no additional charges, even if your circumstances require any additional forms to be lodged.
